Filament Hinge (for use in design)

This is a 3D printable hinge where a standard 1.75mm piece of filament as the hinge pin.

This hinge is intended to be integrated into your existing design. You can either import the STEP files or open the whole fusion file and import that way. You can also print the 3MF file as a test. Use the “Filament Hinge Cutout” model to remove part of a wall in your model. Then, you can join the hinge holder to the bottom and the inner hinge to the lid. 

The hinge is 26mm x 5.6mm x 13.6mm if you want to make the cutout yourself.

See photo for assembly. After assembling, it is recommended to glue the outer hinge to your base object to keep it in place.
