This is a design from years ago when I was in school in an FEA class. It was meant to be machined from stainless steel 316 but that doesn't mean we can't print it in plastic to play around with it. Obviously don't actually try to climb a wall with this. Use at your own risk....etc...
I printed the base vertically upside down to reduce support material use. When designing it for steel I I did load analysis for the worst case situation of loading at the tip with a 200lb load on it.
I printed it in pla and found it brittle when I tossed it with the arms open (broke one). Next time I'll try some other material probably ABS.
