This is a portable outlet box, based on the commercially available offerings.  Most of these companies are charging $75+ per enclosure, so I set out to make a lower budget option.  I have not yet tested them in the field, so I'm not sure how they'll hold up, though I suspect they'll be plenty strong enough.

A disclaimer though.  These are not UL listed or otherwise certified in any way.  Most commonly available 3D printing materials are not fire rated in the same way commercial electrical boxes are (with the exception of Prusament PETG V0).  Keep this liability in mind if you opt to print these yourself.

At the moment, I just have a file for a double sided box with a ¾ NPT threaded hole for a strain relief, as well as a standard duplex receptacle cover.  Over time, I do intend to add a cover design for decora style outlets, as well as a few variants on the box itself (replace the ¾ NPT hole with a Neutrik D-Series panel mount hole for PowerCon/True1, single sided box, two gang, etc.).  The screw holes for the outlet are threaded for a standard #6 screw that comes with a receptacle.

I have been printing in cheap PLA throughout the design process, but I intend to switch to PETG for “production” models due to its greater impact resistance.  I would also like to try printing one in TPU with a high infill, but the print time becomes a little too high with the generic stuff I have on hand.  If you try TPU before I update, let me know how it goes.  I would also really like to try doing a PETG inner layer with a TPU “overmold”, but I don't currently own a printer that can handle mixing flexibles with other filaments.  Maybe when I buy a Prusa XL.

In PLA/PETG, I've been using BambuStudio's 0.20mm Strength profile.  I print in the orientation shown in the pictures, with supports only on the bottom most face.  The rest of the features can be printed without support.
