Horizontal dremel bit holder: gridfinity 2x2x3U

Stackable dremel / proxxon horizontal bit holder for gridfinity system 2x2x3U. Maximum bit head diameter: 14 mm.

The clearance depends on your printer calibration, but the parts were designed in two variants:

• D3.5 - snug fit for the shafts with diameter of 3.1 - 3.4 mm;
• D3.2 - snug fit for the shafts between 2.8 - 3.1 mm;

This type of the gridfinity box is better printed with supports under the screw / magnet mounts. I use tree supports and set threshold angle to 15 degrees.

I like the original design with horizontal bit storage from chewmieser. However, I needed stackable units. There was plenty of unused space, so I modified the original model.

• The box is thinned out and requires less plastic;
• The bit holder is lowered. It can fit the maximum bit diameter of 14 mm;
• Used a slightly different design of the gridfinity base, which supports both bolts and magnets;
• Added a design with smaller shaft mounts for bits with smaller shaft diameter of 2.8-3 mm.
