(WARNING: this mod is not meant for beginners. Nothing wrong with being one but you might be over your head with this one.  I am an experienced Machinist and Mechanical drafter/designer. This mod is meant for Speed-Printing and is addressed to the moderate to advanced printing community.  If you encounter issues, pls contact me before leaving bad comments.  I love helping, let's work together.  Thank you.)

Save a tone of Bed weight and crank the acceleration to the MAX with this “Speed-Plate”.  Mounts directly on the MGN12C/H rail-slides, build plate mounts directly on top.

Printable on 220x220 build-plate. I printed mine with 0.6mm nzl. Anything will work really.

3mm walls, 3mm top, 3mm bottom. Infill 100%.

-If on Cura, use Exclusive mode. Print outer walls very slow (20-25mms).

-You NEED supports turned ON because the center part, where the belt bracket is attached to the plate, has to be inset 4mm up from the bottom.

-PETG or Tougher (printed mine in PETG without any problems)

-Your threadserts have to be flush at the top and your screws CAN'T stick out the other side when assembling. There is not enough clearance to have anything stick out. Mine were longer so I had to shave them a little. VERY IMPORTANT or you will fight with interference…

Let the build plate and finished model cool down all the way before removing, you really don't want to distort it at all.

It's designed to be stiff once assembled. It won't be as stiff as the metal plate but definitely stiffer than the original pre-linear-rail setup. If you need something stiffer you can use CF filaments.  I will continue experimenting with it and improved the designs in the future.

Pro tip:  Secrets to speed, quality & accuracy is to print outer walls first; very slow outer wall and speed up for inner walls & infill.  Finding ways to shave weight off of the printers' moving parts is the next step. ie: bed and print head.
