I really liked the design from Dom, but my printer can't print multicolor. So I took the outlines and made a solid backplate out of it. Then I took the black framing and made a frame out of it.

Afterwards I mixed epoxy with i bit of watered acryl-color and filled the frame with the help of a syringe and a needle. oriented myself on the shading of the original.

The backplate was printed using transparent PETG, so the whole model is see throug an will be hanged onto a window.

It's a really fun project.

To print use a transparent filament (presumably PETG) and add a pause or a filemant change at 7. Then switch to a black filament for the outline.

Next, mix epoxy and fill in three jars. Add a bit of watered acryl color in your desired color in a lighter tone in one jar, a bit darker tone in the second one and a grey tone in the last one. Take a syringe and a needle for each color and start adding the colors drop by drop.

Afterwards let it cure and you are good to go.

Epoxy can be bought in most hardware or art stores, syringes and needles are often available in pharmacies. Other types of color can be used, ideally epoxy color, but acryl color or water color is absolute fine, too. Just mix the acryl color with water befor, until the whole color is desolved, otherwise you will have spots of pigment in your resin.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Filled segments are not filled with filament, rather with epoxy.

Outline was used to create a backplate, hollow framing was made out of main model.
