I designed pc fan covers and pwm controller cases to use old pc fans for my reptiles, providing more air circulation.

These are brackets meant to mount mentioned designs + fans.

I designed a bracket for 120 and 140mm fans (like the covers), the screw holes are standardized on these fans, so they should fit every commercial available pc fan with mentioned size.

The beefier design of the mount is due to higher temperatures in the terraria, the version 1 began to lose structual integrity while using PLA.

With using PETG these brackets should be able to withstand higher temps then the 30-40 °C in my terraria.

As I sayd, I used PLA and they work fine, but consider PETG if there will be higher temps or a position near to a heat source, like uv lamps and such.

These prints can be printed without support, just print the base upright, the second part is flat on one side to be printed without support.

You will also need:

  • 2x M4x20mm flathead screw or similar
  • 2x M4 hex nut (ideally self locking screws)
  • Screws to attach to fan

As mentioned above, in higher temperature environment the plasticcan begin to deform. Therefor I recommend self-locking nuts, so the friction between the parts remain. Therefore the nut cutout is deeper to fit the self-locking nuts.
