The motion sensor on my garage unfortunately didn't last longer than 2 weeks until it got fried, eventhough it was IP44 rated and for outdoor usage.
Reason was that during heavy rainfall, spalsh water was running down the rough plastering wall and getting inside the sensor which eventually shorted the sensor and the relay.
As those parts are not cheap and I didn't want this to happen again, I made this cover to protect the sensor from splash water.
It's mounted above the sensor with silicone and 2 screws, so all the water coming down the wall will no longer be able to get inside the sensor.
Working great so far so thought I'd share it with you guys, in case someone is having the same problem like I did :-)
