I designed this poop or purge chute for my Bambu Lab P1S, so I could set it up on an IKEA Kallax against the wall. I combined the chute with a side spool holder and an angled power cable that replaced the original. This way, the printer sits about 25 mm from the wall, which was the minimum distance with the angled cable. The purged material can be taken from the end of the chute/side of the printer after a print.

The chute holds onto the printer with 2 12x1,5 mm magnets that can be superglued in the magnet slots. No screws needed. The hood on the chute also keeps in most of the temperature for materials that are temperature sensitive. I didn't have any filament poops stuck inside the chute yet.

Dimensions (WxDxH): 195 x 100 x 250 mm (Sticks out 25 mm behind the printer)

Cost: 105 g of filament and 2 h 38 min

Print settings:

  • PEI textured plate
  • Bambu PLA Basic Filament
  • 3 Wall loops
  • 15 % infill
  • Skirt:
    • 2 skirt loops
    • brim type outer and inner brim
    • brim width 20 mm
  • With the textured plate, there is no need for supports when the skirt is used. Might also work without the skirt, but it only adds about 2 grams of filament.

The 3mf file includes my print settings.

The chute should fit for the P1S as well as the X1 model.

I hope you enjoy the model. Any feedback is highly welcome. I also might add a small removable container later. For variations of the base model, leave a comment.
