Hi! I present to you a complete conversion kit for a popular food dryer/dehydrator model, which will allow you to use it as an active filament drying system during printing. It does not require any cutting or removal of existing dryer elements, which means that we can still use its original purpose. All you need is a bit of glue and one piece of 608 bearing (printed one should work too). The set consists of:
1. Walls printed in four elements, on which additional rollers are mounted to extend the distance of the filament during drying. This item is a combination of two designs by https://www.printables.com/@3DMakerNoob and https://www.printables.com/@Petour.
2. Filament mounting system based on 2 parts connected by a standard 608 bearing.
The photos show the assembly instructions. I did not change the little wall rollers and their upper covers, you can find them in the 3DMakerNoob project, to which I am attaching a link: https://www.printables.com/model/73335-dehydrator-dual-spool-holder
The author remixed this model.
Using 3DMakerNoob and Petour designs, I included a roller system and a hole for the filament exit in the walls, which I made a bit taller and more stable.
