I created this to attach to some raised beds to keep pests out.  It's a modular system, and could be used without mounting to anything - just build the frames, and place them on the ground.

  • It is modular and extensible
  • It is lightweight
  • It is able to be easily broken down for winter storage.  There are no fasteners, just unhook and disassemble.  The netting holds it all together.
  • It is easily removed from the beds to make tending to plants and weeds easy

I used ¾ inch grey PVC conduit, but this will work with any pipe that has a 1 inch outer diameter.

Just about any netting will work with this, so use what you have on hand! I used a higher-quality tied nylon netting because I want this to last many seasons.

For the corner pieces, PVC 3-way tees and 4-way tees are what I used for the corners, but you may find uses for other PVC fittings. No need to glue them - the netting will keep this together, and if they are glued, the frames won't be able to be broken down for winter storage.
