These are the lights I use for my work stations, as they are simple, flexible, and fast to make! This printed piece holds the light socket, easily mounts to things with double-sided tape, zip-ties, or screws, and allows you to swivel the light to point in any direction.

These fixtures are built around GU10 LED bulbs which are cheap, energy efficient, last a long time, and can easily be found with 2700k color temperature and 90+ CRI (a nice warm light color for indoors.) In addition to the bulbs, you’ll want to buy the standard GU10 ceramic sockets, and you’ll want to be comfortable enough with electronics that you can wire them up to a 120v plug or circuit (or have a friend help here.)

The “bridge supports” file utilizes a cool trick to print 'without supports' - the printer strings filament between two ‘walls’ to create a sort of tension bridge to print sequential layers on (which would otherwise be floating in mid-air.) After printing, these ‘suspension bridges’ can be easily clipped off.

I recommend printing with .3mm layer height and 20% infill with a .4mm nozzle (probably the most common printing arrangement!)

Thanks for checking this out!

If you make one of these, I'd love to see the results!
