I recently built a Lily58 keyboard from Boardsource.xyz and wanted to print a case. I found the design done by Josh and really liked it. I ran into an issue where one of the holes did not line up with a hole on the PCB. It was close, but not enough so I had to adjust.
I also made the bottom a little taller. The original model was low profile and it did not work for me.
If you want the bottom to be open to see the bottom LEDs (see one of my pics), print the bottom with 0 top and bottom layers. Make sure to pick an infill that will work and look nice. I used a honeycomb pattern.
You will need 10 (5 for each side) M3 Countersunk screws. I used 6mm long ones, but double-check to make sure you don't screw through the top of the case.
As a side note, I printed the Lily58 Keyboard Travel Case by ngonzal987 which fits perfectly.
Update: 7/28/2024:
Added a remix of https://www.printables.com/model/437115-keebio-iris-keyboard-wrist-rests which fits this keyboard case. Adjust the Z-axis to make it taller or shorter depending on what feels right. I printed mine in TPU with 25% Gyroid infill. It is soft, but firm. The uploaded file is for the right-hand keyboard. Mirror the model on the X-axis to get the left-hand version.
Update: 8/13/2024:
Updated wristrests to add platforms for keyboards to sit on. This prevents the keyboards from sliding away from the wristrests. I printed mine in color-changing TPU with 10% Gyroid infill. The uploaded file is for the right-hand keyboard. Mirror the model on the X-axis to get the left-hand version.
Updated 4/11/2025:
Added a case to carry keyboard halves in. I recently went on a trip and needed to pack my keyboards, so I created this case to protect them while in my suitcase. For padding, I took a bubble envelope and traced the box's outline. I cut inside the line so it fits inside the box. There is a pad at the bottom and top of the case. The lid is not a snap fit, so I used rubber bands to hold it on. It worked well and my keyboard survived the trip. Mirror the model on the X-axis to get the left-hand version.
The author remixed this model.
