Baby Crystal Night Dragon

I was asked to make a smaller version of the Crystal Night Dragon, the kid friendly version, so here it is. I didn't take the time to curl it like I did the regular Baby Night Dragon, so it can't fit on a tiny bed… but it is smaller and should be scalable to 70%, just like the larger model, because all my changes were to the outside of the model only, not the joints. So they shouldn't be frail at those smaller sizes.

Expect the non-kid friendly version soon. I wasn't planning to make it, but I like it better.

Shout out to Kathi for testing.

PRINT SETTINGS

  • Silk PLA recommended (any material works, but the crystal looks really cool with silk.)
  • .2mm recommended (Any layer height your printer can handle is fine)
  • 2 walls (or more. Walls are more important to durability than infill)
  • 15% infill recommended (Any pattern. 10% or more is okay. More infill equals more weight, which feels nicer in my opinion.)
  • 4 top/bottom layers recommended. (3 or more is fine, but more is sturdier.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

  • Reduced segments.
  • Scaled and modified several parts down to transition better with fewer segments.
  • Remodeled tail to be shorter.
