Description:

Drop-down desk mount designed for Logitech Shifter. Design especially for truck simulator drivers with truck gear knob but also will work with any other. Massive clamp gives enough clearence for bigger desks like mine from Ikea (model: Alex - which got drawers under desktop) or go for version 2 which is fully adjustable!

Plate is secured to two 2020 extrusions (250mm long) which can be supplied or printed or replaced by shorted or longer version. Plate is secured by 5mm sliding nuts which allow you to slide it on full lenght of extrusions (can be replaced by any other extrusion fixing - for example t-nut).

To fasten bracket to desk you can print or supply M8 bolt. Different end caps provided will keep your desk free from scratching and also will spread force on bigger area.

Print list of duplicated parts:

  • Clamp: v1 for very thick desks otherwise print both parts for clamp v2 or part 1 clamp v2 and supply toggle quick release clamp.
  • Bolt & cap: as lenght required. Cap is optional and personal choice.
  • Extrusion: if decide to print file contain ONE extrusion - print two times.

Parts Required*:

  • 2x 250mm - 2020 Aluminium Extrusion Profile
  • 8x - 12x - Extrusion T/Sliding Nut M5
  • 8x - M5x16mm Bolts
  • 2x - M5x25mm Bolts
  • 2x - M6 Bolts 25mm**

Parts Optional:

  • 2x M6 Bolts ( > 15mm) - for securing extrusions to top of bracket. IMPORTANT: If you decide to use them make sure your ask for M6 tapping your aluminium profile or if you have M6 tap and know how - DIY!)
  • 1x M8 Bolt - for securing bracket to worktop. Can be printed but proper zinc or steel version will be more rigid. Optional knob to be fitted on top of hex bolt is provided to print.
  • Toggle Quick Release clamp can be purchased and replaced with bottom sliding bracket.

Tools:

  • Pozi/Philips screwdriver or Allen key - depends on bolts you used
  • M6 tap - if profile not done already (optional)
  • Deburing tool/Sand paper - it is tight fit!
  • M5/M6/M8 tap - to clear thread if needed

Print settings of your choice. I recommend any fixing and plate with high infill. Done mine with PLA which is doing the job.

* - there is possibility to print them but for price on eBay and fact it will be more solid then print I recommend buying them.

** - fixing required by Logitech to fasten your shifter.
