This filament guide was designed to help smoothen the flow of filament from the spool to the extruder of the Ender 3 V2 printer. The filament guide comprises of four parts. After printing the parts, they can be easily assembled by press-fitting together. The guide can also be installed onto an Ender 3 V2 by press fitting to the side of the printer. There are two rollers, a bigger one and a smaller one. Depending on how high or low the user prefers the filament to travel before entering the extruder, one of the rollers may be chosen to suit the needs.

A simplified version of the main body (i.e. Main Body V9) made by deleting the weight reduction holes was designed for easier printing. Also, a sample GCODE for this version is uploaded for easy reference on orientating the print to avoid using supports in the installation slot. User may also slice their own GCODE by using the 3MF file attached.
For fitting the filament guide to the Ender 3 V2, the size of the installation slot is vital. A friction fit that is a little bit on the tight side is recommended as the pulling force of the filament is quite strong. Hence, users may adjust the flow rate of the printers that they use for achieving a good fit. For some filaments, the default flow rate will be a bit too high, thus making the slot a bit smaller than desired and requiring a great deal of force to insert the guide to the printer. Also, if users found the slot a bit too small after printing, they may set the “Experimental → Slicing Tolerance” value in Cura to “Exclusive”, instead of the default value of “Middle” for achieving better fitment between parts, the setting will ensure layers are contained in the designed volume.

The assembly and installation of the filament guide is also shown in the video below.
