A weighted handle for the YEHW blaster.

The blaster felt pretty front-heavy for me, so I balanced it out by adding some weights to the “Griddle” component. The new balance point is just in front of the trigger (basically perfect for spinning it).

This does make the blaster a bit heavier, but the better balance makes it feel a lot better in-hand, and less tiring to aim as well.

To install in the blaster, just replace the “Griddle” component. You can do this on an existing build but you will need to replace the trigger elastic.

I specifically designed the holes to fit these weights: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072JXSN9P?th=1

  • Length: 1.27"(32mm)
  • Width: 0.72"(18mm)
  • Thickness: 0.24"(6mm)
  • Weight: 1oz (28 gm)

You can either just press them in (the adhesive on them should be enough to hold them in) or to be extra safe you can add a some superglue to the inside of the slots before pressing the weights in. Any similar sized weight should be fine, and obviously if you want it to be more front-heavy you can just change the weight arrangement by leaving one or more slots empty.

The slots do get pretty close to the exterior of the model, so just make sure your slicer is handing those areas properly and not creating holes. If there are some holes in the exterior its not too big a deal, just might not be desired.
