I found the original grip case not enough separation from the heat of the device, and not adding much to the ergonomics. This aims to help position the hands better for DPAD gaming and add a bit of a buffer from the heat the device can produce during high end gaming. The grip includes bottom cutouts for usb, speakers, and air intake. The speaker channels have a scoop design to make them front facing, and it does seem to increase the volume a bit.
Two files are included, one is the grip, the other is a base ‘sled’ if you wish to remix your own grip design.
I still haven't figured out the best print orientation. I printed it upright, but the bottoms of the grips can be a bit rough from the supports/overhangs.
DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR SCRATCHES TO YOUR DEVICE.
I have designed this to not fit too snugly to avoid scratching the device, but fit may vary based on your printer tolerances and filament choice. If it seems too tight, don't try to force it. The design does include a small relief for the performance mode slider.
