This is a seat belt sleeve that wraps around the lower seat belt mount point on a drivers / passenger side seat belt. This design was measured off the OEM Jeep comanche bench-seat seat belt sleeve. If you have a cherokee, subtract ~2in in height.
Like everything AMC / Jeep / Chrysler, there is no such thing as consistency, and the designs changed slightly over the years. It seems the ~84-88 sleeve had a rectangular profile. The later chrysler version was rounded. The rectangular and rounded profile versions are included here.
Somewhere in between was a teardrop shaped version that captured the lower seat belt bolt. The teardrop version is not modeled here.
These seat belt sleeves help prevent the seat belts from getting caught between the cab and the seat when the belt is pulled or retracted. The sleeves also help prevent the seat belt from flopping out into the door frame when unbuckling. These sleeves were usually stapled to the seat belt towards the bottom mount point.
This is best printed in TPU or flexible PLA. Both allow for some flexibility, especially when pushing the bent seat belt mount point through this sleeve. I highly suggest printing it straight up-down in the Z-axis. This way there is no support material to remove from the inside cavity.
An automotive seat belt system is very important. I am not legally responsible for how you use these dimensions or files. Use these files at your own risk.
