I have remixed the original bike vertical mount part from @ensoniq2k and made it so that instead of drilling it, it can be attached to the front part of an IKEA IVAR shelf unit.

It is attached using some M3 bolt and there is space for a nut on the opposite side, but I ended up not using any.

4 bolts for each support x 2 supports for bike = 8 x M3 bolts and optional nut needed

Warnings:

  • I printed this part in PLA with 3 walls and 45 infill (I wanted to be conservative), remember the bike support from @ensoniq2k itself is printed on PETG to be flexible
  • I got good results printing in the orientation this model comes with
  • This in particular is on a shelf that has a substantial weight on it and I feel confident enough placing the bike on it.
  • Make sure you can put the M3 bolt without stripping the bolt itself, otherwise you will be in trouble
  • I have not tested the durability but it seems strong.

Overall this was designed for me for a niche use, but perhaps there is a need for this.
