Grass trimmer spool wall dispenser

A wall mounted dispenser for Ryobi RAC124 grass trimmer spools. The spools are about 56 mm by 28 mm; there are likely many others in the same size. The holder holds six spools. There is a cutout in the bottom for easier spool removal and four holes for 4 mm screws for wall mounting.

Printed in black PLA using 0.2 mm layers and a 0.4 mm nozzle on a Bambu X1C using the cold plate. The model could probably use some more optimization for easier printing; there are still a few overhangs that are hard to get really nice and the front cutout on the dispenser will likely require supports.

There is a recess in the front for text signs. Two signs are available: One with the text “Trimmer spools” and one without any text at all. The signs were printed using adaptive layer height and supports on the extreme sides but not in the middle, then glued on using superglue.

The source model is FreeCAD and is parametric. It should be fairly straight forward to modify the model for other spool sizes.
