Description

PDF

Hinges for the rear panel of the Voron to allow it to open like the front panel does on the V0.2.  Parts were designed for a V0.2 but may fit other printers.

For this mod, I used the Voron V0.2 Rear Panel with 8010 MCU fan from @otann as my rear panel, but other panels would work just the same

Hinges

I removed all pre-loaded nuts from rear facing channel on right rear extrusion and added an additional nut on the outside channel.  Due to the hat hinge, I had to put the top screw in with the door in place as it cannot slide past that part.

BOM

  • 2x M3x25 BHCS
  • VHB tape to adhere the panel clips to the rear panel

Pogo Pin Latch closure

This mount is designed for a specific pogo pin mount using the measurements given.  The 3-pin version of this connector and the part designations that are printed tell you which pogo pin side to put in which (they are similar but slightly different).

I removed all pre-loaded nuts from rear facing channel on left rear extrusion and added two nuts on the inside channel. I soldered wires to the female connector and ran the leads to the fan header I wanted to use.  For the male connector, you'll either need to run the wires out the channel before adding a connector, or cut a slot in the connector that you can slip wires through.

Assembly

Use 2x M2x10 Self tapping screws to connect both halves of the male mount together with the male side of the pogo pin connector in it.  For the female half, sandwich the pogo pin connector in the female mount parts and just run the screws through the holes for now.  Once it is mounted, the two halves will be held together better.

Mounting

Attach the two assembled mounts letting the magnets hold the male and female half together.  Attach the female mount to the inside channel of the rear left rail with 2x M3x16 BHCS and adjust so the back of the male half is flush with or just slightly proud of the back of the rail.  Put VHB on the back of the male connector and close the door, pressing the panel onto the clip and then open.

BOM

  • 1 set pogo pin connectors - 3Pin version
  • 2x M3x16 BHCS
  • 2x M2x10 Self tapping screws
  • VHB tape to adhere the panel clips to the rear panel
