Background:
Inspired by the likes of the classic “mielie bomb” used when fishing, especially for carp, I wanted to design a funky mould.
I decided to work around the shape of a grenade model I saw: Grenade MK2 WW2
Design:
The design consists of a split mould, identical in shape to allow for easier printing and/or replacement (if need be).
The hinge requires two parts to work, and these can be printed in under 5 minutes.
The opposing side can lock the mould using the same hinge mechanism if required.
You will require a minimum of 2X M3x16 screws and 2X M3 Nuts (4X if you hinge both sides).
I added a countersunk hole on the side of the mould to allow for flavour to be poured in if required.
