Description/How To Use

To use The Sock Dryer you need to pull back on the lever(depending on your tolerances you may need to pull it with the pressure to the bottom of the lever), then slide it onto a strap on your backpack. Finally to attach your socks pinch it in place by screwing the knob until the sock is pinched against the wall like this.

Assembly

What you need
  • 1x 30mm pen spring(a slightly  smaller/bigger one will work but will affect the force required to open the carabiner.
  • All the printed parts.
Instructions
  1. Insert the pen spring though the small hole on the under side of the carabiner. But leave it hanging it out half way.
  2. Take the carabiner slider and  insert it though the long hole on the front side of the carabiner at 45 degrees until the slider passes though the hole on the side of the carabiner.
  3. Push the spring the rest of the way in.
  4. Take one of the side screws and push it though one the screw holes seen below with the skinny long side, but do not screw it in yet.
  5. With the side screw part way though the hole screw the pincher on the skinny side of the side screw.
  6. Screw the side screw all the way in to the side
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 on the other side.
  8. Now you have a functional Sock Dryer.

Printing Tips

  • No supports needed
  • All parts In correct print ordination.
  • For best quality 0.15 layer height, and 0.2 layer height for first layer.
  • Depending on the weight and strength you want you may want to adjust the amount of perimeters and infill, but I used 2 perimeters and 15% infill.
  • I used PLA, however I would recommend PETG, unfortunately I was unable to test this because my PETG didn’t arrive in time before I left on a trip.
  • If the screw tolerances are to tight you can scale the side screw down, and the pincher up.
