Version 1.05 is released. The tolerances are tightened up a little so it sits more firmly in the front dovetails but the main change is it now has ledge near the top it rests on, not only to guide the box but also so it doesn't fall through the bottom.

It is backwards compatible with earlier versions of Python so it fits all versions of Python.

About

This is a set of front mounted Silica Gel Boxes for the Python AMS to keep the moisture in the enclosure at a minimum. They slide into the front dovetails of Python. 

A “normal” Python setup with four spools use three Silica Gel Boxes.

Notice: It is not compatible with a stock AMS setup.

The pictures below are from an earlier version of the boxes but they're basically the same except the lid and locking mechanism with a printed M14 screw.

One box can hold around 110 g of undried silica gel. It's a good idea to use the optional funnel when filling it.

A set of three filled to the brim with undried silica gel is around 430 g.

Print settings

All parts print without supports and it uses a sliding lid. The funnel is optional but makes loading much easier.

Silica gel beads. There are a couple of difference options, if you're in the US I recommend going with the ones from VOXELPLA (top link) who is a partner.

For the Hygrometer box (coming soon) you also need a small round hygrometer (mini) with a 41 mm diameter which you can pick up from AliExpress for example. I bought a bunch since they're so cheap:
