Notice: It's been brought to my attention that Elegoo later in the Max 4 production line made a thicker version of the bed frame that this model will not fit. I don't know when the new frame was introduced, but please check the thickness of your frame before printing. Mine is ~4-4.5 mm.
I printed the original model and had some issues. The spoke openings needed a lot of sanding along with the exterior of the exterior for the side knobs. The teeth on the top for side knobs were not low enough to properly clear the metal frame and grip the lower teeth. The top gears were also too thick and the bottom gears were so high above the top of the knob that I needed longer screws. The knobs were almost at max tightness to just get them to thread. Changes to solve those issues are below.
As with the original model there are 30 teeth, so if you are using Klipper's screws_tilt_calculate each click is 2 minutes.
Flament: PETG (PLA would be fine. I just used PETG thinking that the strength and flexibility would make the teeth on the gears last longer)
Infill: 100% for strength due to size of the print.
Supports: Organic Tree. On the Top Sides you can block supports in the opening for the spokes. You might also try to print them teeth side down, but I have not tested this.
The author remixed this model.
