A Unique take on modernizing an old art form commonly done in wood craft - adding unique 3D printing features.

This Spiral collapsible oval catch all tray holds itself in place with mechanical stops and friction against itself.  As printed, there is plenty of clearance between walls but as the spiral is stretched out, the walls find each other and lock in place.

Printing recommendations:

1. Great use of PLA or PETG.  PLA is probably best because there are wide variety of colors and sheen to create something uniquely your own.
2. Print with side down as shown in the .stl file.
3. 0.2mm layers and 0.4mm nozzle is perfect.
4. It's easy to print and no supports are needed, but use a 4-5mm brim AND  enable draft shield to help guarantee a successful print. Of course you can experiment and find what works for you.

TIP:

1. Great model to use color change for an interesting effect!
