The summer is in full swing, but my 14 year-old grill has seen better days - it almost didn't fire up today.
It looks TIRED and WORN-OUT!

Things are starting to fall apart on it - the electronic ignition is dead (which I'll fix), all the printed text is faded, the “stainless steel” finish is showing rust (which I can clean off), and the finish on the knobs looks scarred.

But these are fixable things! Instead of throwing out the grill and buy a shiny new one, I opted to try to keep using it as long as I can - with the help of 3D printing - starting with brand new knobs.
Key Features:
I'll post updates as I work on this project, but I'm sharing the files as I create them so you can try to use them to refresh your grill too.
Also Planned:
UPDATES BELOW:
[July 16, 2024] Prototype for new grill knob installed and works as expected. Now I need to print 3 more! I'm designing the new dial face next. I plan to share the STP file for this as well, with customizable icons representing common types of meat, for you to apply them as you need.
