Here's a fully custom 3D model for an experimental frame for the Cetus X by BetaFPV. It reuses all the factory hardware and even screws, and makes it fly like a different drone altogether. Being more lightweight, I noticed longer duration flight times, but more sensitivity to winds when flying outdoors.

It may crack/break on a hard landing, but that's simply the print absorbing the energy, and you can just print another frame. I modelled this very crudely, but it solved my problem of consistently breaking the original frame when flying outside.

Notes: Battery is now mounted on top of the frame. Camera is in front of the AIO instead of above it. Tilt angel is quite limited, but works great for some freestyle flying.

The models consist of:

  • The frame, which can be printed without supports, and all the hardware (AIO, camera) mount to it.
  • The prop guard, which also acts as a sandwiching layer to keep the AIO in place. This can also be printed without supports (upside down).

Warning: This is an old model I haven't played with in a while, and have since sold my Cetus X. I can no longer support this frame, but I absolutely encourage others to remix this, improve it, and provide feedback on what might make this a better model.
