Hiking Pole -> Backpack (Magnetic Quick Release/attach Trekking Pole Attachment)

  Additional Vitamins Required:
• 4x 4x25mm Countersunk Screws
• 2 Strong magnets
  • Minimum magnet attraction force ~5kg (10x10mm N40, this is what I used because it's what I had). With 5kg it holds unless you jump off something and land hard. If you are buying magnets get the strongest ones you can that fit 
  • up to 20mm OD 10mm thick.
  • You can stack the magnets to achieve greater attraction (up to 10mm).
• CA glue or Epoxy to hold the magnets in.

Suggest printing from high durometer (hard) TPU for maximum impact resistance outdoors.

IMPORTANT:

Assemble the magnets so that the they are slightly above the surface of the printed parts to ensure that there is no gap between them when the stick is stored. Any gap between the magnets will drastically reduce the pulling force between them.
Ensure the Glue has fully cured before using it otherwise the magnets will pop out.
