Bedside Book Hook

You can use 2 of these to hold up to a 30mm-thick book. This is made to fit onto beds with ~20mm (the width of the section designed to attach to the bed side is is 22mm) thick wooden rails/bed frame.

I took the original design and remade it with slightly different dimensions. This is made to attach to beds with thinner rails.
