I wanted a fast way to slice hotdogs down the middle so I can cut them up for my toddler (so they dont choke). Cutting a hotdog perpendicular is easy, but trying to cut one parallel is annoying (especially if they are super hot). This is a work in progress so the design is super basic BUT that also means its very easy to print. It requires (1) safety razor blade. They are very thin and that is what the slit in the tube is designed for. The little tabs on the outside of the safety razor blade can be bent slightly after inserting the blade to keep it from moving back and forth.
To use, stick an average size hotdog (jumbo's wont fit) in the far end of the tube. Push it into the blade (it should cut very easily). After getting it started, use the plunger to push it the rest of the way through.
!!!DO NOT PUT YOUR FINGERS IN EITHER END OF THE TUBE!!! Should go without saying but you know, some people need to hear it.
You can take a knife and cut it perpendicular after it leaves the tube (say an inch or so) to quickly cut the dog into non chokeable pieces.

Notes:
Depending on your printer's accuracy, the slit may be too tight or too loose for the blade. You can increase or decrease your model slightly in the slicer and that will help. This is a work in progress. More design changes to come.
