I printed this jet boat and wanted to use an a2212 brushless dc motor. So I designed this motor mount. The 1000kv a2212 motor is more than powerful enough to make the booat go pretty fast.

Required parts:

  • a2212 Motor (1000kv or less)
  • hollow rod, which fits onto the shaft of the motor (inner diameter: 3.2mm)
  • propeller (I used this propeller from thingiverse
  • cooling fan (optional)
  • This thing (pla is fine, choose between with fan or without)
  • Super glue
  • The above mentioned jet boat

Assembly guide:

  • Prepare your rod and glue on the propeller
  • Slide the rod through the hole and seal with grease
  • Slide your motor onto the rod
  • Mark where motor needs to be mounted (this print)
  • Drill holes where motor need to be mounted to
  • Mount motor to this print
  • Put super glue on the underside of this print
  • Insert this print into the boat
  • Put super glue on the shaft of themotor
  • Insert rod into shaft of the motor
  • Asamble jet steering
  • I suggest waterproofing your esc with nail polish (not shown in pictures)!

Very easy print:

  • No supports
  • No build plate adhesion
