I printed this jet boat and wanted to use an a2212 brushless dc motor. So I designed this motor mount. The 1000kv a2212 motor is more than powerful enough to make the booat go pretty fast.
Required parts:
- a2212 Motor (1000kv or less)
- hollow rod, which fits onto the shaft of the motor (inner diameter: 3.2mm)
- propeller (I used this propeller from thingiverse
- cooling fan (optional)
- This thing (pla is fine, choose between with fan or without)
- Super glue
- The above mentioned jet boat
Assembly guide:
- Prepare your rod and glue on the propeller
- Slide the rod through the hole and seal with grease
- Slide your motor onto the rod
- Mark where motor needs to be mounted (this print)
- Drill holes where motor need to be mounted to
- Mount motor to this print
- Put super glue on the underside of this print
- Insert this print into the boat
- Put super glue on the shaft of themotor
- Insert rod into shaft of the motor
- Asamble jet steering
- I suggest waterproofing your esc with nail polish (not shown in pictures)!
Very easy print:
- No supports
- No build plate adhesion
