This is a prototype enclosure for lumbar puncture simulator. It uses 3D printed lumber spine anatomical model from ALiEM. It is designed as an alternative simulator enclosure when the silicon for molding is not available.
Manufacturing procedure:
- Material: PLA
- 3D Printer: FDM 3D printer, average print time 8 hours (without the spine)
- Slicer settings: 0.2 layer height, top part upside down with brim, no supports needed.
- Post processing instructions: Remove the brim
- Assembly instructions:
- Insert the 3D printed spine with the silicone tube to the bottom part
- Use the available sanitary silicon to properly position the spine.
- Place the top part of the enclosure to cover the spine and glue to the bottom part.
- Before silicon dries postion the spine correctly. Let silicon dry 24 hours.
- Insert the replaceable silicon skin on the grove to cover the back part of the spine.
