While some kiwi varieties are self-pollinating, many are not. The female plant produces fruit, but only if the flowers are pollinated with pollen from a male plant. If you only have a female plant (or it's not close to a male plant), but you can get hold of male flowers (for example, from a friend), then you can use these clips to help hang the male flowers up among the female flowers. Then bees and other pollinators will do the hard work of spreading the pollen for you.
Printing
Kiwi flowers only last for a week or so (in my experience), so these clips won't be outdoors for long. If you are using the hangers in shade, PLA is fine unless you are in a very hot climate. Otherwise use PETG or ASA. I used orange so I can see where the hangers are to take them down and reuse them the next year.
0.2mm layers, 2 perimeters. You need decent bed adhesion, so clean/prep your bed accordingly. Avoid using a brim as it will be tedious to remove.
Use
Keep as much of the little stalk as possible when picking the male flowers. Weave the stalk in the gaps of the clip. See picture. Thicker stalks work with just the 1st and 3rd gaps, thinner stalks could use all three gaps.
