This is my interpretation of the Sticky bomb that is fired from the fictional story The Defender written by Larissa Soehn.

The book The Defender, by Larissa Soehn can be purchased from Amazon.ca https://www.amazon.ca/dp/0228866030/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_C45MY5Y5MX8X238XASPZ

In the book Alexia is plunged into an Alien world where she is forced to test her abilities immediately upon arrival to determine her "Threat Level". During of these tests she is given a two triggered bomb launcher that fires a 6 legged sticky bomb and then detonates it.

I wanted to design a Print in Place model for this design that is loosely modelled off the Octopus designs that you see floating around the internet.I figured it would also be cool to make it a fridge magnet to capture the "stickiness" mentioned in the book.

The Model fits 2 different sizes of magnets if you want, but really you can get away with the smaller of the 2 since they fit into each leg and allow you to pose the model on a metal surface.

The magnets I used were

6mm diameter x 3mm high for the leg magnets

12mm diameter x 2mm high for the central magnet.

Print in place, Pop off Bed

I added the various pieces and spikes in order to prevent needed a raft or Brim. It should be able to be printed right onto the bed. I have had plenty of success and I wish you all the best (every printer is a bit different but I was getting repeatable results with this design and my printer.

It took me 8 attempts to get the legs right. The very first time I printed it off too small, then I worked on getting the right range of Motion, then I worked on ensuring I could get repeatable results without any Brim.

I created a bit of a Dome of the design so you could put anything into it.

I designed this because I also wanted to deign the a Cosplay Bomb Launcher Prop, that this could fit inside. I started here to get the right dimensions. The Cosplay Bomb Launcher Prop is coming soon.
