This is a very quickly made cap to keep the top of a dish soap bottle from opening while in transit: it stays on and keeps the top from popping up and leaking soap everywhere.

This was modeled for a small bottle of Target's “Smartly” brand liquid dish soap, but it will likely fit a variety of other containers. If yours looks exactly like this one (including the height of the bottom piece, about 14.5mm), it may fit as-is. If not, you may want to open the included FreeCAD file and update the measurements for your cap. It's a fairly quick print, so doing a couple iterations isn't the end of the world.

A few different levels of coverage are included. I prefer the 240° version, as it snaps on quite well, doesn't seem likely to come off on its own, and yet can still be removed one-handed.

Printing

  • Material: I'd recommend PETG: it's more stable in high temperatures and more flexible than PLA, which makes it easier to snap on and off of the bottle without breaking.
  • Supports: maybe? I printed this on a Prusa XL with Overture PETG and did not need any supports, but if your printer can't do a 38° overhang, you may want to support it towards the top. (The very top bridging may come out a little rough regardless, you can sand it down or ignore it.)
  • Infill: doesn't matter, it won't be used.
  • Layer height: 0.3mm should be fine, but less will work too.
