LONX 2.1 - Linear Rail Mod

Update Oct 22nd 2024: Some users reported cracking on the pump bottom. I have uploaded an alternate (Pump Bottom Fix Test) with improved geometry around the hex nuts. Please print this with 99 walls or 100% infill with your best layer adhesion settings. For example, if using PETG, print hotter than your normally would.

Update July 24th 2024: Added alternate version of the detent parts (pump bottom and spine) these variants will hold the detent a little more snug, based on some user feedback. Thanks to @bobmtran for the update.

Only works with the 2.1 Lonx. These files will replace the stock shroud and pump. 

Hardware needed:

For Rail
QTY:  1...MGN9H or MGN9C 200mm Linear Rail
QTY:10...M3x8mm Socket Head Screws
QTY:10...M3 Hex Nuts

For Pump
QTY:  4...#6-32 Hex Nuts
QTY:  4...#6-32 Lock Washers
QTY:  4...#6-32_3/8in Round Head Screws

OPTIONAL:
6x7mm Ball Detent, for use with alternate spine and pump bottom

Assembling the pump can be tricky. A reference assembly is included at an attached step file that includes all the hardware in the correct place. Use the spine to keep the 6-32 hex nuts in place in the pump bottom, layer on the pump bar, then sandwich the outer pump top and secure the round head screws in place with lock washers. The opposite side should be a little easier, but you will need to nudge the hex nuts in place between the pump pieces before sliding in the bar. 

For best results use something strong and very ridged for your rail spine print.

Use supports as pictured for the pump top and make sure to trim and file them down well. The rail carriage should be very snug inside, but it should fit all the way in to allow the pump bottom to attach.
