These dice were designed as part of the Brain Box project at Cardiff University - see www.BrainyCardiff.com for more information.
The loaded and unloaded dice weigh the same, making it difficult to determine which one has the loading. The dice are therefore designed to help teach statistics. For instructions on how to use the dice in lessons, see https://youtu.be/4UGxXxZBcTg (or watch in Welsh here: https://youtu.be/4SstEGLX-Ao).
You'll need to print some number stickers for the sides - these were not designed into the 3D design to avoid adding unnecessary weight bias. The number designs are included as a pdf for free download and use.
If you make use of the dice, we would appreciate it if you could leave us a comment, or drop an e-mail to [email protected]. Thanks!
Once printed, file off the elephants feet with a needle file, and then sand the dice under water with fine grit paper (1200 grit) to achieve a really smooth finish. This is important in terms of making sure the neutral die stays neutral.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
