Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo Underdesk Quick Mount V2.1

NB: V2.1 has been updated to use proper threaded thumbscrews. Note that V2 had a problem with the thread direction so has been fixed with this latest update. 

I wanted a way to mount my Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo flight controls under my desk but in a way that they can be quickly dismounted and stored.

The centre, left and right plates mount onto the top of the control unit using the hex screws that are already present. The left and right brackets mount to your desk. You can either use small M4 type screws (if you don't mind screwing into your desk) or you can mount them using something like 3M VHB (Very High Bond) double sided tape. If you choose the tape, make sure you clamp it while it cures and allow 24hrs for it to reach full strength. I accept no responsibility for any damage to the Honeycomb should it come loose and fall off.

I use a piece of foam tape at the back of the centre plate to avoid rattling.

When mounted, the unit slides into the brackets from the front and is prevented from sliding out by inserting the thumbscrews (print two of these)

You can print with no supports, probably using any filament (I used Bambu PLA Tough) but choose 25%+ infill to provide added stiffness. Alternatively use a CF filament.
