Get rid of filament waste and all kinds of small rubbish around your workshop, quickly and easily.

The model is optimized for 3D printing and has been thoroughly tested (this is the second iteration of my design, I may upgrade it even further in the near future).

This filament waste box is light, minimalistic and functional, it features:

  1. Light and mobile lid that travels 3cm, with soft edges and a permanent hole for quick exposure.
  2. Parts are easy to print, no supports.
  3. Suitable for any type of plastic.
  4. Can be scaled directly in slicer (in case you need to adjust the size).
  5. Printable in less than 3h (MK4 0.4 nozzle with input shaper) and less than 4h (MK3S 0.6 nozzle). You can use MK3S with 0.4 nozzle but the print may take about 6h.
  6. Rounded edges and optimized geometry for better adhesion. We haven't encountered any adhesion issues with the stock (smooth) Prusa PEI sheet and stock MK4 settings.

Printing recommendations (see the 3mf file):

  1. 10% infill
  2. 0.4 nozzle (is recommended but not required)
  3. For MK4 0.4 nozzle with input shaper
    1. 0.2 SPEED profile
  4. For MK3S 0.4 nozzle
    1. 0.3 DRAFT profile
  5. Works great with PLA
  6. A smooth PEI sheet is recommended, you may need to use a brim with a textured sheet
