This is a filament guide sleeve for the Dragonfly BMO for use with the Filametrix filament cutting tool-head. It is designed to keep the filament in place during the cutting move.
Required Items:
Print upright. Orient tapered section towards print bed so no supports are needed.
Use a large diameter drill to put a chamfer into top of brass insert.
Cut PTFE tube to length. It should be just long enough to fill the space in the cold end and have the insert sit flush with the top of the bowden adapter. It may take a few tries, cutting in small increments so as to not leave a gap.
I also filed and sanded the top of the insert for a smooth finish. You don't want any burrs as this will catch and break the cutter blade of the Filametrix.
