Perfectly curved travel cutlery and easy printing without any form of support?
Actually it is very simple.....
If you have never formed PLA or PETG using hot water before, this is a very easy and simple example to get familiar with. See the video below to see how this works.
For print settings: well, use your own favorite, but use solid infill...
It is advisable to use a flat bedplate and not a rough one for printing.
To shape, place the bottom of the print upwards and shape first the spoon and second the fork part with help of the shapemaker and some fresh boiled water.
Tip: use another form of infill the bottom layer for beautiful effects.
The thickness of the Spoon & Fork is scalable for e.g. extra strength. However, do not go thicker than 3mm (to have a comfortable fork stay max 2.4mm). If you want to scale the travel cutlery in its entirety, scale the Shapemaker with the same factor! Keep the heigth of the Spork & Spoon below the mentioned 3/2.4mm.
As also indicated in the video: Use of the travel cutlery is limited in temperature. For a print in PLA, do not exceed 55-60°C and for PETG do not exceed 80-85°C.
PETG is recommended for broad use (all types of food). If only deserts/ice cream are consumed, PLA will suffice.
The cutlery is not dishwasher safe! Rinse them with lukewarm water to clean.
Perhaps redundant to mention, but make sure that all burrs or loose PLA/PETG have been neatly removed before you start shaping the travel cutlery!
