I needed a way to pass through wires and pH and other sensors into my hydroponic tank.  I originally was going to buy a PVC trap with an access port (to make it easier to pass in the pH probe with minimal risk to the fragile bulb)…but then saw what they cost so decided to 3d something better.

Passes in through a hole in my lid and bolts from the bottom.

NOTE: This is NOT a 180 pipe - I cut it short for easier routing of items in and out.

If I had to do it over, I would use a hollow bolt instead of a nut to secure it.  This would reduce the supports needed to print it…

Printed in PolyMaker PolyLite PETG (Black) - nuts printed in old random PETG I had lying around.

0.4 nozzle, 4 perimeters, supports need to be enabled and you will need to know how to best print large floating structures in your slicer and printer.

I use Orca Slicer and used Tree Supports, 30 degree threshold, build plate only, remove small overhangs, 10mm outside only brim, partially bridge count-bore holes.  You may need to paint the inside of the pipe and threads to not be supported, otherwise it may try to snake a tree up the inside of the pipe for unnecessary supports.
