Handle for Silberthal Manual Coffee Grinder (Griff für Silberthal Kaffeemühle)

The original handle can be slippery, replacing it with this "ergonomic" handle makes grinding coffee easier.

I like the coffee grinder but it always annoyed me that the original metal handle was so smooth that a lot of forearm strength is needed to hold the grinder while grinding coffee. So I came up with a solution by designing a new grip. Maybe someone else is having the same problem and wants to replace their grip.

It might work for other coffee grinders as well because some others have the same shape.

Print settings

Just print how you like, I used 0.12mm layer height and cheap black PETG with a 0.4mm nozzle. No supports.

Assembly

First you have to take off the metal part. This can be done by pulling it up. Originally this part is glued. When I removed it it was already a little loose, maybe carefully heating it up with a hot air gun or a hairdryer helps.

I think the assembly process of my grip is obvious, just make sure that the groove of the coffee grinder aligns with the tongue of the new grip. It might take some force to push the grip on to the grinder.

If you have any questions or feedback, please let me know :)
