This is a recreation of an old wooden Christmas decoration. I haven't been able to find the original designer, but this appears to have been a template that was distributed some time before 1985.
Setting up this decoration was a regular part of Christmas for my family, so I wanted to print some extra copies that my siblings could keep in their own homes.
This design is extremely easy to print due to being entirely flat pieces.
There is 0.125mm of clearance on either side of every connection, which should be sufficient for a snug fit. However, you may need to sand down the parts slightly if they're too tight.
Please note that scaling down the design will result in a tighter fit.
The placement of some parts is ambiguous. I intentionally left the design open so you can choose where to put each part. If the assembled reindeer looks correct to you, then you did it right.
You can glue the parts together, but I recommend keeping it as a puzzle.
Probably not.
This project is based on a reindeer puzzle template that was created sometime before 1985. I could not find the original designer and do not know if it was released under a license that would permit selling.
Out of respect for the original designer, I'm sharing this under a non-commercial license. I'll update this if I learn that it has been released in a way that would permit selling copies.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
