My Ioniq 5 charge door was way too hard to open using the “button” on the charge door.

To be clear, the way the charge door is designed, there's a little nub inside the door that presses on the actual button to open it. (The nub presses on the same square button labeled “Close” you use to close it)

Mine had a nub that was too short and wouldn't reach the actual button when closed, making it very hard to open.

The hollow part of this model fits over the short nub that's inside the charge door to extend it by 0.7mm, enough to easily press the button, but not enough that it's pressed all the time.

No glue required, mine is tight enough that it just stays on the nub even though it's upside down when the door is opened but can still be removed easily if needed.

Now, every car might be a tiny bit different and it's very important you make sure the nub isn't made too long by this and pressing the button all the time or you might discharge 12v.

Leaving you stranded.

No seriously, make sure it's not pushing that button all the time.  That's a whole another problem that's way worse than this.

I would suggest printing different ones with a different bottom thickness and using the thinnest one that fixes the door opening. Thicker ones could leave you stranded by discharging the 12v.

You can easily adjust the bottom thickness by editing the bottom_thickness variable in OpenSCAD.

I had to slice this part with 0.1mm layers to be able to print the 0.7mm bottom.  It's a quick print regardless of layer height.

Black PETG is your friend here, no one will ever know it's even there.

Files were made for a 2024 model, other Model Years might by slightly different although the concept is the same.

Comment with your car door's nub size and I'll update them here.

2022:  print x and y at 90% and z at 95% as per user @PmsVTA7Cg_1783568
