X-Carve with Dewalt 611 Spindle - JTech Side Laser Mount

This is a custom laser cutter/engraver mount for the Dewalt Spindle Holder in the X-Carve CNC Machine.

The laser head is built by JTechPhotonics. I use the 3.8 watt Version, but any head should fit (as of Sept/2017).

This will mount your laser to the left side of the spindle mount to allow for dust shoe. The reason for the extended distance is to clear the dust shoe side mounts.

I used slots instead of holes to allow for the head to be moved up/down for fine tuning the distance. In my case it was mounted at 2.5" from the work surface with enough clearance distance from the work area to the collet. The beam focused perfectly within the factory recommended distance (1" to 3").

The back aperture (hole) is to let the laser cables go thru it and be more organized.
