GEN2 Tilt Drawer Pro - MEDIUM

The GEN2 Tilt drawer is a heavy duty storage solution with incredibly quick and easy access to it's contents thanks to it's tilting opening. Rearrange the tilt drawers in seconds now thanks to the new QuickLock spring mechanism integrated into the drawer case.

STEP 1: Location

Decide how you would like to use your GEN2 storage. Keep in mind that the drawers are modular and can be easily swapped between under table and table top locations. All drawers are available for mounting under the table using rails, but you can also place them on top of any surface with table top kits.

UNDER TABLE (GEN2 RAILS) Attach GEN2 drawers under any surface by installing the GEN2 RAILS. Once installed drawers can slide and lock into place, they can then be swapped out and rearrange in seconds.	TABLE TOP KITS Table Top Kits include covers and foot rails that when combined with drawer cases create a rigid structure that can be placed anywhere.	WALL MOUNT This is the first and only model in the GEN2 storage system to feature direct mounting to the wall! I've tested multiple prototypes to ensure it is able to hold serious storage contents such as metal bolts and screws.

These drawers are completely compatible and interchangeable with any GEN2 drawer systems in MEDIUM length. 

HARDWARE/TOOLS

• Screw Driver
• Wood Screws #8, 1.5" long or equivalent
• M3x6 or longer machine screw
 

INSTRUCTIONS

PREP THE TILT DRAWER

The New design of the drawers rely on using an M3 screw head to pivot on. This is significantly more stable and structural strong compared to previous designs.

• Inside the drawer pull M3 nuts into place, you may want to use a longer screw such as an M3x10 and then removing the screw

• Now thread an M3x6 (or longer) into place on each side of the tile drawer

WALL MOUNT 

• Decide where to wall mount the storage units, I recommend starting near chest level to easily see in the drawers when opened, and more drawers can always be added to it. For best support locate a wall stud or use decent wall anchors. 

• Using the two top holes on with the case against the wall I recommend marking their location using a pencil, you can also pull the case away from the wall and verify the 2 marks are level.

• Depending on your wall type you can predrill or screw in the #8 or equivalent wood screws. Leave the screws slightly loose out from the wall.

• Now's a good time to add a cover (GEN-QL Cover - Single - MEDIUM) from the GEN2 Table Top Kit - Medium. Slide the case holes over the screws and let them slide downward until they are fully seated in the slot, you can not gently tighten the screws the rest of the way.

• You can now add any type of GEN2 Medium storage unit under this drawer case.

• For more permanent or more secure mounting to the wall you can add optional screws in the single center screw hole on one of the lower positioned cases.

Extra Features

• Use the GEN2 QuickLock - Bidirectional to install the Medium drawer under longer drawer cases. When sliding the drawer into place you will need to help the bidirectional QuickLock by holding them down until they are started under the slot of the drawer or rail above.
