Here's a re-drawn version of JeremyCarlsten's Thingiverse design for a clay pigeon hanger that you can suspend from a wire, nail, rope or small branch.
A slight interference fit allows it to "click" onto the rim of the target and prevents the target from detaching from the hanger.
I liked this design because you can print multiple copies quickly. I like to hang these over a plastic feed tub to make cleanup easier.
Four versions are available--small eye loop, small or (new) large split eye and one to hang on a nail (my favorite). No support is needed in printing.
If fit is too tight or loose, try scaling slightly in your slicer. These dimensions are what works with my printer and the AA White Flyer targets that I have on hand.

I used Jeremy Carlsten's original design as a starting point in creating this simple hanger for clay targets.
